"Do you realize that Jesus is there in the tabernacles expressly for you, for you alone?  He burns with desire to come into your heart" (St.Therese of Lisieux).

"At the dawn of this third millennium, we, the children of the Church, are called to undertake with renewed enthusiasm the journey of Christian living. As I wrote in my Apostolic Letter Novo Millennio Ineunte, "it is not a matter of inventing a 'new programme'. The programme already exists: it is the plan found in the Gospel and in the living Tradition; it is the same as ever. Ultimately, it has its centre in Christ himself, who is to be known, loved and imitated, so that in him we may live the life of the Trinity, and with him transform history until its fulfilment in the heavenly Jerusalem". The implementation of this programme of a renewed impetus in Christian living passes through the Eucharist." " I wish once more to recall this truth and to join you, my dear brothers and sisters, in adoration before this mystery: a great mystery, a mystery of mercy. What more could Jesus have done for us? Truly, in the Eucharist, he shows us a love which goes 'to the end' (cf. Jn 13:1), a love which knows no measure" (Pope John Paul II, Ecclesia de Eucharistia, 60 and 11).

"Beneath the appearance of the species, Christ is contained, the invisible Head of  the Church, the Redeemer of the World, the Center of all hearts.  From this it follows that the worship paid to the Divine Eucharist strongly impels the soul to cultivate a 'social' love" (Pope Paul VI, Mysterium Fidei, Art.  70 and 71).

"If we truly understand the Eucharist; if we make the Eucharist the central focus of our lives; if we feed our lives with the Eucharist, we will not find it difficult to discover Christ, to love him, and to serve him in the poor" (Bl. Mother Teresa of Calcutta).

"Through adoration, the faithful can enjoy a particular experience of 'abiding' in the love of Christ (see John 15:9), entering ever more deeply into His filial relationship with the Father" (Pope John Paul II).

"If human love craves oneness, shall not Divine Love?  If husband and wife seek to be one in the flesh, shall not the Christian and Christ pray for that oneness with one another?  Every heart seeks a happiness outside itself, and since perfect Love is God, then the heart of man and the Heart of Christ must in some way fuse.  This aspiration of the soul for its ecstasy is fulfilled in the Eucharist (Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen).

Many who attend Eucharistic adoration report miracles and healings, for themselves and their loved ones, such as: the strengthening of marriages and families, personal peace and spiritual growth.  Parishes experience increased mass attendance, service, unity, conversions, the return of fallen away Catholics as well as vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and many blessings.

St. Paul Miki, Priest and Martyr, (Japan), 1564-1597--Feast, February 6
St. Pauls family converted to Christianity when he was a child.  As a Jesuit, empowered by the Eucharist, he  proclaimed and defended  the Catholic faith.  St. Paul and 25 other Catholics were crucified during a persecution.  While hanging on the Cross, St. Paul encouraged spectators to give their lives for Christ and forgave his enemies.
St. Scholastica, Benedictine Nun, (Italy), 480-547--Feast, February 10
Twin sister of St. Benedict, St. Scholastica was the first abbess of the order of nuns, founded by her brother.  Devoted to the worship of the Eucharist at Mass, and Adoration, she remained very closely united to Jesus. When she died, St. Benedict saw her soul depart from her body, in the form of a dove, and ascend up into heaven!
Our Lady of Lourdes, (France)--Feast, February 11
"All shrines of Mary, scattered throughout the world, have become above all centers of devotion to the Eucharist, as if the Mother of Jesus had appeared, here or there, in order to lead the faithful to the adoration and love of her blessed Son" (Bl. John XXIII).  "At Lourdes, even Mary has stepped aside to make way for Christ.  There is no place in the world where Christ in the Eucharist is more glorified.  The procession of the Eucharist by candlelight is the high point of each day.  [More healings  take place at Lourdes, during the procession, than at any other Shrine worldwide.]  Here the pilgrims are joined in faith, and all the countries of the world are united as the procession winds from the grotto to show that Jesus is the Gift of the Virgin Mary.  Now she stands at the side of her Son so that He may console" (Msgr. John F. Davis). "The Eucharist bathes the tormented soul in light and love.  Then the soul appreciates these words: 'Come all you who are sick, I will restore your health'" (St. Bernadette).
Ash Wednesday, February 25  "Return to me with all your heart"  (Joel 2:12).  "The love of the Blessed Sacrament is the grand and royal devotion of faith; it is faith multiplied, faith intensified, faith glorified . . .  Out of it there comes three special graces which are the very life and soul of an interior life: an overflowing charity to all around us, a thirst to sacrifice ourselves for God, and a generous and filial love of Holy Church" (Fr. Frederick Faber).
St. Toribio Romo Gonzalez, Priest, Martyr (Mexico), 1900-1928--Feast, Feb. 28
Fr. Gonzalez reverently and secretly offered the Holy Mass. He zealously worked to spread Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and to administer the Sacraments.  Father was victimized, persecuted and martyred because of his faith and priesthood.
